The year 2021 was a year filled with various emotions for the people across the country, especially within the aquaculture sector in general, and the shrimp industry in particular. The positive growth indicators during the initial months of the year brought good signals and raised high expectations among shrimp farmers, contributing to a vibrant shrimp farming atmosphere.
Shrimp farming regions within the country are preparing for a successful farming season, and the provinces in the Mekong Delta are no exception. As the center of the shrimp industry, households in the Mekong Delta are striving for successful shrimp cultivation.
Besides experienced shrimp farmers equipped with technical knowledge and favorable conditions to join in the “play”, there still exist many farmers lacking in experience and opportunities to access quality shrimp postlarvae.
Recognizing the above difficulty, beyond supplying quality shrimp postlarvae to farmers, we remain committed to assisting struggling shrimp farmers through our annual Shrimp Gifting and Technical Instruction Program.
This year, our company is honored to collaborate with the farmers of Gia Rai District, Bac Lieu Province, to implement a shrimp gifting program and guide them in effectively farming shrimp.
After a careful selection process based on specific standards, the program was performed in the Gia Rai district, Bac Lieu Province. Binh Minh Domesticated Postlarvae Shrimp delivered 1,000,000 postlarvae, equivalent to 100 boxes of standardized, high-quality, disease-free shrimp, to shrimp farmers in the Gia Rai district.

The Company’s perspective on the shrimp gifting program:
The shrimp gifting program is one of our annual community-oriented activities. Each year, we continuously improve our production processes with the aim of providing high-quality shrimp to farmers. Additionally, we always aspire to ensure that farmers have the opportunity to access quality shrimp postlarvae and suitable farming processes to achieve a successful crop, contributing to an improved quality of life. This is a goal we consistently pursue, and it serves as our driving force for the continuous development of our company.
The objective of the event is to gradually change the perspective of shrimp farmers regarding the significance of quality postlarvae for achieving a successful crop. Previously, shrimp farmers primarily focused on feeding the shrimp, while paying less attention to the postlarvae quality. However, this viewpoint is no longer suitable in the current trend. The postlarvae quality is an important starting point in shrimp farming, especially for the Binh Minh domesticated black tiger shrimp line.
“Recently, I’ve heard a lot about the Domesticated Poslarvae Shrimp, but I haven’t been confident enough to choose it for stocking because I’m used to stocking local seeds. I used to think that any postlarvae would do, and the experience matters most,” were the initial opinions of those farmers who had not previously focused on the input postlarvae quality. However, after exposure to and trial with good-quality postlarvae, these thoughts gradually changed.
In previous years, before implementing the program, we always felt joyful and happy when receiving handshakes and hugs from the participants. This year, those joys are expressed in a new way through messages sent via the company’s communication channels.
“This year has been quite challenging due to the high postlarvae prices caused by the European market opening. However, the demand for high-quality shrimp resulted in the prices not meeting our expectations. When we stocked new batches, disease outbreaks occurred, leading to the shrimp being unsellable. The cost of feed is increasing, and middlemen are buying shrimp at low prices. Everything is extremely difficult. Therefore, receiving boxes of shrimp makes us feel very happy. Thank you very much,” shared Mr. To Phu Sinh.
Additionally, there are some other feedback shared:
“Sincere thanks to Binh Minh Domesticated Postlarvae Shrimp for providing the farmers in Gia Rai district with quality postlarvae.”
“Sincere thanks to the company.”
“We are pleased to receive the boxes of shrimp from the company. Previous crops were unsuccessful, so we are hopeful for success this season.”
“At the beginning of the year, we noticed that shrimp prices were favorable, so we tried stocking new batches, but it wasn’t successful. Shrimp farmers are struggling now, but upon hearing about the company’s shrimp gifting program, we were very excited. A box of shrimp is precious to us. Thank you very much.”
Giving will lead to receiving. The joy of one person is not as significant as the joy of many together. The company appreciates the contributions of the farmers.
On behalf of those who have executed the shrimp gifting program and provided effective shrimp farming guidance to the farmers in the Gia Rai district, we sincerely thank you for your trust, for giving us opportunities, and for journeying with us to contribute to the change and development of the shrimp industry in the future.
